An octopus story
The folks at Seattle Aquarium bought themselves a rather expensive boy octopus. The aquarium keeper said that the octo was "bad news". But the aquarium blue bloods did not believe him and asked a fancy biology prof whether they can keep the octopus with some other sea creature to conserve on space. The esteemed science doc said that they can keep him with the sharks (the octopus...although keeping the science doc with the sharks might not have been a bad idea). That night the octopus ate 2 baby sharks.
A little while later, the aquarium gurus decided that if they mated the male octopus, maybe the babies will come out really cute and that would attract more people (read - more $$$ to the aquarium). So they brought in a girl octopus and put her behind glass so that the two of them would get to know each other. They also called on another esteemed sealife authority for him to check whether octo was ready to be a daddy. The esteemed white beard said that he was itching to have fun (the octopus that is). So before night they removed the glass barrier....but the wedding night did not go smoothly for the octo bride. In fact in the morning she was no more.... (When it's complicated....it always pays to get a second opinion)
